I use Resilio Sync for this. Free and crossplatform. It is peer-to-peer, but I do use the server as one of the peers so that I get syncing 24/7 as needed.

Ahh thank you. Now quit making me regret buying this Synology last year (which I really do like). 
I just got this for a similar use case (mass storage archive and backup): D4-320
It’s super simple, relatively inexpensive, and absolutely no frills. It’s a non-RAID box, which is what I was looking for.
Playing with the idea of getting a 2 bay system for my Studio (since getting a 46mp camera, I am eating up space quickly), but want Thunderbolt. Terramaster seems to be reasonably priced, but they stick a giant handle on top of the TB enclosures. Why?? I don’t think I could buy one just because it looks silly. Never mind that it will sit in a place I can’t see it (also ignore than I don’t need TB speeds).
Guess it will be OWC if I decide to do this. I don’t know who else makes TB enclosures for this kind of thing.

I chose this because it’s super simple and for archival/backup purposes Thunderbolt isn’t necessary. Their USB based enclosures are as generic looking as I could find though.

@RunningBoris - What do you use? Does Synology offer basic multi-hard drive enclosures? I want to get an enclosure like Terramaster’s D4-320, but I have philosophical differences with Terramaster as a company.
I have a Synology 423+, which despite my comments here, I really do love, it’s just the back up situation and that you can’t put everything on a NAS since some programs don’t like it.
Synology does not offer enclosures that I know of, they are purely a NAS/networking company.
What is the issue with Terramaster? I know almost nothing of the company.
Having just purchased that exact enclosure, I am now curious as to what objections you have with the company. Would you mind sharing?
