Right-angled Thunderbolt 4 cable?

Has anyone got a working Thunderbolt 4 cable that:

  • has (at least) one right-angle connector, and
  • really is Thunderbolt 4?

I bought one off Amazon that claimed to be Thunderbolt 4 but it simply does not work to connect my MacBook Pro to my Studio Display. It does work as a USB-3 cable so it wasn’t a total waste of time, but I would really like a cable that doesn’t stick ~70mm out the side of my MacBook Pro.

I don’t have an answer for you, but I’ll second your frustration with the cable sticking out too far issue.

As far as I know, there are also 90° adapters available. Maybe this would be an option?

I linked it in my post. It’s essentially the same one but with a different “brand”. There are several to choose from and I chose based on the best looking logo that I would be staring at.

Interesting, I will check those out. Though I suspect I will still have the same risk. Whatever I buy has to actually meet the standard to work.
