I need a new external monitor for my MacBook Air (M1, 2020)–it’s a Dell S2718D 27" that I bought for my previous intel chip MBA, and while it’s basically worked since June when I got the new MBA, it’s started to look like a bug has crawled into the side, and it’s wings are getting longer, which isn’t a great sign. At any rate, I’m looking for a replacement that won’t break the bank, charges my MBA and has a couple of USB-A ports too. If I understand it right, one possible replacement is Dell UltraSharp U2720Q 27", but the reviews are mixed regarding whether this one overcomes the initial monitor problem with the MBA-M1. Does anyone have experience with a monitor they like? FWIW, I’m running Monterey 12.6.

I have this exact monitor connected to both a MBA M1 and a Mac mini M1.
No connection problems, USB ports work very well.
