I’ll give two from this week. Don’t look at my post history, this isn’t the first time.
Both Evernote and Todoist raised their subscriptions recently. Evernote by A LOT across the board and Todoist a lot for me here in Canada - from ~$60/year to ~$85/year. That’s almost $100 a year for a task manager by the time you add taxes. And since I can’t use Todoist at work for security reasons, that means I’m just housing a few around the house and personal tasks that don’t necessitate a $100 task manager. I’m out.
Yes, at the moment I am using the free Dorico SE version. I just clicked with Dorico for rapid note input and prefer the playback engine too. I like the engraving options a little more in Dorico and one of the main reasons for the switch was the wealth of well paced tutorials from Dorico’s own Anthony Hughes. He is so easy to listen to as an instructor and his pacing is perfect for me.
My wife is using the affinity suite so we have it and it is quite good. And we have done some projects together in it. Right now the primary work that I am currently doing must be done word. So that’s what I do.
