Sync photos from phone to PC without iCloud?

Now that Apple is killing off My Photo Stream how can I get photos from our iPhones to my main local storage on my Mac Mini? (external drive)

We have all our photos/videos auto-copying to Google Photos. I still have a small storage account w/ iCloud and was using Photo Stream to make recent photos accessible. Without it, I don’t see how to achieve this. I guess maybe I’ll need some 3rd party app, but I really need this to be automatic. Manual syncing will, inevitably, not happen.

Anyone else have a workflow for this?

So, I reinstalled PhotoSync and restored my purchase. Looks like I had previously paid for the Pro level. The upgrade to Premium was only $13 Lifetime so I grabbed that and now I have auto-sync direct from phone to Mac Mini external drive any time I walk in the door and the phone connects to the wifi. So I guess that’ll work, just gotta set up the wife’s phone this evening and we’re done!

Didn’t photostream seriously downscale the photos it hosted?

Unsure, but I don’t doubt it. Not that our typical photos needed 4k resolution…

Is the reason you’re doing this due to the cost of storage on iCloud?

Google Photos was a better price point, so no need for more than minimum space on iCloud
