iPad, shmiPad. I want the terminal on my Apple Watch!
Could you imagine using Siri to dictate xargs strings into an iTerm watch app? Plus, I’d really want tmux; so, I could have a vim window in one corner, while running a find command in another, and perhaps, be downloading a utility from homebrew.

I will send that to my non-tech friends and tell them, “This is what you need to do to resolve your computer issues.”
The AI translation for the non-tech person:
Imagine using Siri to speak commands into a special terminal app on your computer. This app listens and waits for changes, then performs tasks based on what you said. Additionally, you want to use a tool that lets you divide your computer screen into multiple sections. In one section, you can write and edit text, in another, you can search for files, and in a third section, you can download a program from an online repository. This setup allows you to multitask efficiently, doing several things at once on the same screen.
This was even better than my original comment!!!
And I even understand it!
I want a tiling window manager and multi-monitor support on my Watch. But Apple refuses to add them because they want me to buy a Mac, too.
I can’t even sketch my website wireframes for my clients on my Watch, even though it’s an Ultra! Apple wants me to buy an iPad too.
Ridiculous!
It goes both ways. There are no lugs for a wrist strap on the iPad because they want you to buy a Watch, too.
I bet I could attach some lugs to a Mac Studio, though…
In that case I guess you’d have to wear the screen on the other wrist.
Use an iPad with Screens running, VNC into the Mac, duck tape the iPad screen to the top of the Mac Studio with lugs on my wrist, and go. Free arm workout included.
We’re solving real problems here.
You guys Sound like the Apple Marketing team trying to go even higher!
Or like they already got high
With ideas like this, we’re soaring. Who even needs the crack marketing drugs.
Brilliant. I love simple solutions like this that can be implemented quickly and with a minimum of fuss.
I think this thread has run off the rails!
Not yet! We’re still missing a tabs vs spaces discussion here!
Indeed, for that matter, let’s add a discussion on subscriptions!
