I don’t think you’ll find any disagreement, other than from vegans and the lactose intolerant.
If you ever find your way to Plattsburgh, NY, I’ll take you to our local Mac&Cheese restaurant, which has some excellent variations.
I’ll be ordering something else, though… despite my wife and son both loving Mac&Cheese, I never got a taste for it (never had it as a kid growing up). But the same restaurant has excellent poutine and maple bourbon cheese curds, along with other offerings, so I won’t go hungry.
Someone once said “Fettuccine Alfredo is just Mac & Cheese for grown-ups” to which my wife replied, "Mac & Cheese is Mac & Cheese for grown ups.” (However, she also really likes Fettuccine Alfredo.)
