This was, of course, a very worthwhile use of my time

I have never seen my husband without a beard, but he still needs a razor to tidy up the margins. He used to mix up his own shaving foam with a brush and a tub full of some kind of nice-smelling fancy paste, but finally just went electric and called it a day.

I received an electric razor for Christmas when I was in eighth grade. I’ve had a beard since junior year in college (which is when I started going bald …). I’ve been using electric razors for margin tidying ever since.

I’m an old graybeard these days.

In my head, I heard that entire post in this guy’s voice.

This actually is the way.

Cheap, effective, aesthetically pleasing (there are some gorgeous DE razors) and hipster. Unbeatable combination.

The cost-saving alone is pretty impressive without any additional time requirement in the mornings. Add on the “pampering” of the brush and nice shave soap, and there’s no real downsides!

I started shaving with a DE Gillette adjustable razor but moved on several years later due to frequent blood loss. :grinning:

Ah yes, that can happen. One does not simply act carelessly around the nose/top lip area.
