Trigger App Launch?

I am looking to trigger Ecamm Live when I attach my MBP to my doc which includes an external display and my DSLR that I use Ecamm Live for as my virtual webcam. I only need Ecamm Live when I’m attached. I can’t figure out how to automatically launch. Any thoughts?
