I use Endnote across any apps as needed. The only app, however, that it integrates directly with that I use is Apple Pages. Otherwise, I copy the citation and paste it into the app that I’m using. Below our screenshot showing how I use Endnote in Ulysses.

Thanks. I have used bookends since it integrates into Mellel. But it has never endeared me to it. But, I have always had confidence in Endnote – probably because I started with it in my windows days.
I was first introduced to EndNote in a graduate course on education law and the Constitution. We had to assess and write papers every week on legal briefs and court rulings. EndNote served me well in the class and ever since. I learned a lot in the class, but EndNote has served me longer. 
Unfortunately, I am not aware of any. Sorry I can’t be a more help.
