Where do people go for used Apple gear these days? I’ve bought from Gazelle before, but that was a while ago. I was wondering if there are better places to look at this time.
I want to get my wife her own iPad. She’s been happily using my 2nd gen iPad Pro, but I’d like to get it back.
I’d look at Apple’s Refurb options first
Asking your coworkers/friends often works (same for selling.)
I’d second the vote for Apple Refurb - I’ve bought both iPad and MacBook Air from them before. It felt like a new product and you know the QA is good.
The only other place I’ve used before is CeX (not sure where you’re from, they’re in the UK). You can get cheaper than Apple Refurb in less-good condition if you’re after the price point, but also they’re good for a warranty and 14-day no-quibbble returns policy.
Ya Apple refrub is my first look; I got a 5th gen iPad Air (256gb) this year, after trading in my iPad to Apple too. Got my wife’s m1 MBP there too.
Next is probably OWC, then backmarket.
I’ve managed to get some pretty decent stuff at pretty decent prices on Facebook Marketplace… and some/most are willing to haggle
