I am also a long-time use of OmniFocus and have been dabbling with NotePlan on and off. I definitely like how it keeps everything in one place and its support for markdown. It’s also a bit more flexible in how you use it—you kind of design the app/workflow to fit your needs.
A question: I was very comfortable (and reliant) on the three date formats in OmniFocus (deferred, planned, due), but I’m struggling a bit with dates in NotePlan since there is only one date format, and I perceive it as a “do” date more than a “due” date. Since you mentioned you have moved to NotePlan from OmniFocus, how do you approach deadlines (tasks with “due” dates) in NotePlan?

On the Noteplan topic, I have a Taskpaper set up to add a particular type of project to Omnifocus. So I am wondering if that is possible with Noteplan?
I understand I could copy and paste the text from Taskpaper into an entry in Noteplan. But with my current set up, I just run a Taskpaper template in Editorial, add the new name and relevant dates and send it straight into Omnifocus and the new project is automatically created. No need for cutting or pasting or even opening Omnifocus first.
