What a Subscription-Free WorkFlow Looks Like

I would never say that about good supported software. I use OO a lot and I think that it has many areas that it could be improved. The Search needs a lot of work in terms of functionality and UI.

I am one who is disappointed in how little Omnigroup has put into this app recently.

I was probably too quick to be “satisfied.” Certainly the app can be improved, e.g., the ability to add hypertext in the mobile version. But for my needs, it is basically “feature complete.” :slightly_smiling_face:

This is brilliant. Thanks for the link!

If you have Alfred, you can have it do a rubish-free Google Search in Safari. I just took the OS X Daily instructions and made an Alfred Web Search command from it. Note I normally use Duck Duck Go, but this lets me do clean Google searches:
(For some reason this site won’t upload an image!)
Under Web Search add:

Search URL: https://www.google.com/search?q={query}&udm=14
Title: Good Google Search for '{query}'
Keyword: ggoogle
3 Likes

Near as I can tell, StartPage, which uses Google as a back end, produces similarly clean results, while also stripping out Google’s tracking and bubbling. (DDG uses Bing.)
