I’ve been using UTM - https://mac.getutm.app/ - for virtualization. It’s free and the only thing I can find that doesn’t work is games - which for me makes no difference because I only use it to run software.
I teach and my main use case is testing what I do in class, as I often have new issues each year with the software I use.

As a PowerShell lover, I’m curious about this. Can you give an example? I’ve had a little trouble using things that use Windows-specific objects/modules but have found workarounds/replacements for some.
