Each hour, Time Machine backs up about 2GB, even when I’ve done almost no new work on my MBP. How do I figure out what the heck it’s backing up all that time?
Thanks, Andrew

Maybe preference files? Dig into settings or if there’s a backup log. Seems odd though.
Are you running MS Outlook?
Have you got any vm’s running? (Virtualbox, docker, vmware etc…)
I finally realised what was taking so long. It was simply that my Time Machine drive was full. Now that I swapped it for a new one, there’s somehow less to back up, and it’s much quicker. Thanks everyone!
