I know I know… sigh.
Mine seems to be pretty dynamic.
I generally always have:
- Obsidian
- Safari
- A PDF reader
- Finder
- Discord ()
Often, but not always:
- DEVONthink
- Airmail
- Fantastical
- Some media maker. OmniGraffle, Keynote/PowerPoint, mmhmm, Word/Pages
Don’t mind the unread count.
I said don’t mind it but you had to go there!
On a regular workday (if such a thing exists), I’d be surprised if these apps were not open:
- BBEdit and/or Pages (depending on what I’m writing)
- Safari
- Fantastical
- iTerm
- MailMate
Mail
Messages
Facebook Messenger
Drafts
BusyCal
Slack
Mimestream
1Password
Alfred
Day One
OmniFocus
DevonThink
Microsoft Word
Apple News.
Messenger and Apple News aren’t work-related, but they are open all the time.
- Kiwi for Gmail
- Safari
- Chrome
- Drafts
- nvUltra beta
- NotePlan
- Spyder (IDE)
- TextExpander
- Fantastical
- MultiMarkdown Composer
- Terminal
As often as not:
- Firefox
- BBEdit
And crucial menubar apps:
- Keyboard Maestro
- Hammerspoon
- AirBuddy
- Karabiner
This is usually the view after I realize I need to close Slack and email if I’m going to do more than solve small problems today. Activity Monitor is the only useless one, but it’s like a security blanket.
P.S. what utilities did you all use to take the screenshot while holding cmd+tab open? I resorted to a screen shot of a screen recording.
Mine’s at 14992 at the moment, so by comparison, you’re doing just fine
You don’t have a Mac?
That is a lovely photo.
it’s dynamic!
I have a personal Mac Mini for Photos, Plex and backup, but I can’t use it for work. Work provide me a Dell which is a good machine and Windows 10 has been solid.
So you get to take it home?
The Dell, yeah. I work 2 days a week from home, 3 days in the office.
