My organisation runs on the G-Suite, but I take all my notes in nvAlt in Markdown. Is there an app or a service that will convert my Markdown documents to a native GoogleDoc and convert the headings etc?

This looks promising.
Another option would be pandoc to convert to dock, rtf, etc. that you could save to google drive and open on google docs.
