I bought a refurbished Dell OptiPlex 7040, Quad core I7-6700, 16GB, 1T SSD for $529.
The abundance of ports and potential for upgrading RAM, adding more SSD storage, maybe even a video card is kind of exciting, as was the non-Apple price.
