Has anyone been able to get YT to stream higher than 1080p on the iPhone/iPad since upgrading to iOS 14? It worked great during the betas, but since the GM it seems broken. Any ideas how to fix this?
I guess Google does not want it to… .
Same with picture in picture in Safari with YouTube. Worked great in the betas, bur is blocked by Google in the public release.
I happily pay for premium so I can skip ads and download videos to watch on the plane (in the before time when travel was possible). However, I can’t watch PiP in the app or take advantage of higher resolution videos. Just baffling why Google doesn’t want to embrace other devices. Complete opposite of the Microsoft strategy these days.
