I liked this episode. One takeaway for me is that completing my morning checklist is the habit, but treating each step as individual habits is likely overkill.
I’ve been struggling with maintaining a morning checklist/routine that includes both small things (ie check weight, floss) with bigger habits (ie study French, exercise) and am forever searching for the app to rule them all to handle it. Maybe better to separate these things and keep the checklist separate from the purposive habits and schedule time for each accordingly. Use the habit tracker for only tracking these big rock habits (ie exercise, complete checklist, French).
Small reframing but does clarify purpose. Maybe also explains why I’ve never been able to make a habit tracker work.
Maybe I’ll just use omnioutliner for a checklist and give streaks another go for habits.
