I was thinking about WWDC and what I would want from Apple this fall.
macOS App Library like iOS and iPadOS but using the old launchpad button and also th me ability to customize the categories.
Better organization in the Photos app. Either by stacking duplicates of photos or by allowing me to add a photo to an album and then archive that photo so that my actual full photo view is not obnoxious to look through.
A little niche, but I would love to have the ability to postpone tasks to another day in the reminders app or better yet a won’t due feature for tasks not needed to done.
Color coding of text in the notes app would be fantastic to better organize text in a single note.
Last but certainly not least for this list. Please I beg of all that is good and holy that Apple fixes syncing issues in Safari. I would use Safari 10x more if I did not have it randomly deleting and rearranging my bookmarks and not sucking between my Mac and iPhone.
A little bonus one is that passwords should say if I have duplicates of accounts and passwords so that it easier to delete and change passwords.
Same here. I held off the upgrade because of UI bloat and issues with M1 processors. I am working on my dissertation and cannot risk fiddling with my computer like in the good old days™️ when using Windows 20 years ago.
AI-surfaced relevant files, emails, reminders, etc available as a simple swipe Consistent tagging across the entire system (notes, Finder, reminders, mail, etc…) Implement Hazel-like rules for filing and tagging documents, with AI assist. End-to-end encrypted iCloud sync (thanks Advanced Data Protection!)
Maybe this time they’ll actually do the thing, although, after so many years, I’ve pretty much given up hope that they’ll remember they build a complete, integrated system.
