@ismh86 Did you know that the business versions of Google Workspace support “real” templates for Docs, Sheets and Slides? From the Docs homepage for instance, you just click on “Templates Gallery” and underneath the name of your GW Organization, you’ll see a “Submit Template” button. Frm there, you can choose an existing document and decide whether to keep the link or make a copy. The only caveat is that his template will only be available for other members of the same organization, not people external to it.
Creating a new document from an organization template can be done from Google Drive too, via the “New” > “Google Docs” > “From a template”
Not sure if it could help you in your specific situation but wanted to mention it just in case.
