I’ll accept the blame! Thanks for the kind words.
That synthesizer tray is a great idea! Investigating…
Thank you Matt. The video hue seemed purple but this works!
I enjoyed this episode! It surprised me in ways I wasn’t expecting, but resonated with me. I share in Matt’s delight in using my iPad Pro. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Mac and use is almost every day as well.
But I also use my ipad every day, sometimes for more time than my Mac. It’s a wonderful feeling to sit comfortably on my sofa with a piece of glass that I find delightful to use. It seems more personal, more a direct extension of me with the touch interface.
Every morning I sit on my comfy sofa (with a cup of coffee at hand) with my iPad, and consume Readwise highlights, and read blogs and newsletters in Reader. I read books, set up my plan for the day in NotePlan, create blog post ideas with a shortcut, check the weather forecast, dictate my thoughts and add them to Day One, and practice German on Duolingo. When I want to look something up it’s my go-to device during the day. It’s a consumption and a creation device. When I think of a change to a MindNode mind map, I’ll grab my iPad to make the changes.
Often it seems people are inclined to be in love with one platform, but at the same time feel compelled to disparage the other. I don’t understand this. I love both platforms, for different reasons.
I have both, that I use for different purposes. I tried using only a 13" for everything, including reading, but I found it too heavy and unwieldy. The 11" size is an ideal compromise. I can sit with it comfortably on my lap, but even better prop it on a small bean bag or pillow on my lap at just the right angle.
