I’ve often wondered, ā€œSo where’s Katie these days,ā€ but I hope we won’t have to wonder ā€œwhere’s Stephen.ā€ How about an annual (or at least periodic) episode where you come back for ā€œfollowupā€?

I’ll definitely crash some episodes, and I’m still cohosting Connected and writing 512 Pixels!

I’ve been listening since the Katie days, and while I’ve always appreciated the great information and keen insights, what truly keeps me coming back is something deeper—a quality that’s been consistent in every host over the years: You’ve all felt like real people to me, not just voices delivering content.

Katie, David, and now you, Stephen, have never been afraid to let listeners see beyond the ā€œpodcast versionā€ of yourselves. You share pieces of your life in a way that feels genuine and human. Because of that, we don’t just learn what you think—we get a glimpse of why you think the way you do: what motivates you, what shapes you, what challenges you, and what matters most.

That kind of openness is rare, and it creates a sense of connection and trust that makes the show feel like more than just a source of information. It feels like something shared—like we’re learning alongside someone we actually know.

Thank you for continuing that tradition, Stephen, and for bringing both your insight and your humanity to the mic.

@ismh86, thank you so much for those years as a MPU host! And yes, please crash some episodes in the future!
