In the right weather, I enjoy sitting outside while working. However, I needed to prevent the metal patio table from scratching the underside of my MBP. I also wanted to keep the base open to airflow along the bottom.
Chopsticks, corks, and wood glue. Voila!!!
Ugly … yes. Easy to make … yes. Effective … yes.

After eight bottles of wine, I don’t think I would even care about scratching the bottom of the laptop.
TBH, I have a clear plastic case on MBA anyway, so this hasn’t been an issue for me.
