I don’t like using the Magic Keyboard, but I do like using the fingerprint detector, so I’ve used my old combined Magic Keyboard and iPad stand case, which may have been made by twelve south, to get the best of both worlds.
Maybe this is the most obvious solution on earth, but I’m quite with pleased with how much easier it is to have the Magic Keyboard titled up like it is in the picture. And I’ve no desire nor skill to extract the fingerprint detector like some people have.
BTW: We have builders in and I’m temporarily “working” at our kitchen table.

Good to see another trackpad & mouse user 
I’m currently using the trackpad + Apple extended keyboard with touch + mx master 3. I do have a few other keyboards that I like for various reasons, however the convenience of touchID keeps me with the Apple keyboard.
Perhaps something like this might be in our future?
(I’m sure that plenty of old magic keyboards with lightning connectors are cheap on marketplace or eBay?
Or Apple could pull their finger out and release a trackpad with fingerprint reader.
