Access apfs formatted usb drive

My MacBook Pro died. I’ve put it’s hard drive in a USB enclosure. I’d like to pull files from the drive. My Problem is I don’t currently have access to a Mac. What are my options to access the data?

I tried setting up virtualbox with with a macOS guest os in windows 10 host is. But it seems like that won’t work.

I tried this several times and could not get it to work. It seems virtualbox shared it but it was never mounted in macOS. Disk Utility didn’t have any info about the drive.
