The text transformer could possibly replace Popclip…
Alfred 6 is a handcrafted 100% native macOS app, and free from slop.
The dmg download for Alfred is less than 6MB, runs fully private and local
I love the subtle dig at Raycast.

I wonder when the tide will turn and developers will not feel compelled to make their apps front ends to ChatGPT or other LLMs. We’re sort of in an “integrate or die” mindset. I use Alfred, but I am not interested in the changes.

Oh, that’s simple: the tide has already turned, and the developers want to survive and make software that people want to use and pay for. If their users don’t want AI, they won’t add it.
The good news, I guess, is that it’s not compulsory to use the AI bits. The bad news is that if you’re not interested in AI, it’s distracting your developers from other things.
There is no change in that respect in Alfred 6: no tie to AI at all unless you want to use a workflow that does that.
