Alternative PDF editor to PDF Pen Pro— UPDF?

I’m looking to replace PDFPenPro. Preview is ok, but doesn’t have OCR capability. I’ve looked into UPDF which looks good and not too expensive. Anyone have views on UPDF?

PDF Expert is my favorite.

Somebody on the Macs In Law listserv was pointing out that PDFMaster is currently on promotion on bundlehunt.com for USD5.00 instead of USD 89.00.

The person making the recommendation said his firm has been using it for a number of years without any problems.

For USD 5.00, it may be worth a shot. But Trustpilot gives it a 1.4 rating from 119 reviews.

According to the blurb:

I had the same question, «OCR but not too expensive», so I bought UPDF in February. I like it, it simple and fast, I quit PDF Expert since then (because PDF Expert does OCR, but only in the subscription model, which I do not like). Walter
