Any way to direct-link to NAS media so it's playable in browser?

I have a Synology NAS with a ton of media on it. I know I can generate a link to a file that will allow someone to download it to their computer. But is there a way to generate a link that allows someone to just play the media in their browser?

I’m thinking of how a link to a media file on Dropbox or Box will present a streamable view in the browser. Is there something similar for Synology?
