I’m in that moment of reviewing the apps I use… I’ve had some ambivalent experiencie with Reeder 6 - I love the design, by it doesn’t recognize a lot of feed I used to follow with Reeder 5.
Is anyone still using Reeder 6? How is your experience?
I’m still on version 5.5, I had a look at Reeder 6 and knew it wouldn’t work for me.

No, I switched to NetNewsWire. It gave me an impetus to try something new, and NNW stuck.

Slowly transitioning to News Explorer 2 - not as pretty as Reeder imo, but super functional and reasonably priced.
I work through either small groups of RSS feeds or individual feeds one by one. I also pick up feeds related to work which I tackle at certain times. Having that all in one list didn’ appeal to me in the slightest.

It makes sense. What bothers me the most is the “social feed” style…
I really like the app ‘lire’ for RSS. Been using it for years.
Yes - I tend to use it mainly on iOS. Does the job. Part of the reason it stuck was a better theme than Reeder.
I switched from Reeder to Unread.

Sticking with the old school version of Reeder. I too tried the 6.0 version and knew immediately it was not for me.
I’m still on 5.5. Actually didn’t realize this wasn’t the newest version!

Reeder 6 is an entirely new app, remade from the ground… Are you liking 5.5?
They called the entirely new app “Reeder” and Reeder 5 has become “Reeder Classic”.
The new Reeder is never called Reeder 6 and the version number is based on the year released (e.g. v2025.4).

If I remember, in September, I will have used it for a year. For some, the downside is that there is a premium (which I use) that is a subscription. I will be renewing. It is the most frictionless app I use. Syncing is fast. Topnotch in my opinion.
