Anyone using Mac for downloading presentation files?

Hi everyone,

I have small question.

Recently I move all my work to MacBook and overall experience is very good. But one thing is confusing me.

Sometimes I need download presentation files from websites like SlideShare Downloader for study and research. On Safari, some downloads don’t start, and on Chrome sometimes the file downloads but the formatting is different from what I expect.

I don’t know if this is browser issue, macOS security, or something else.

Do you mostly use Safari or another browser for this kind of downloads?

Also if there is any Mac app or workflow that helps manage presentation files (PPT/PDF) better, I would really like to know.

Maybe I am missing some simple setting.

Thanks for any advice.

On Safari, you say that some downloads don’t start. So, some do? Also, you say that on Chrome, sometimes the file downloads in a format that is different from what you expected. So, sometimes the format is what you expected?

I’d suggest that you may need to do a bit more testing about the exact issues that reproducibly cause problems and especially those that do not cause problems. Certainly trying a different browser (e.g. Firefox) might be one case to test.

Otherwise, what do you mean in asking about “managing” presentation files? Do you mean administering them locally after you have downloaded them? Or do you mean managing to search for and get a variety of them from cloud sites?
