Apple Classical Listening Guides

I just discovered that Apple Classical now has these listening guides for select albums. Is this a new feature? I hadn’t noticed it before, but it’s pretty awesome they’re spending the time to help people understand classical music.

I first noticed them a few months ago, and like you I think they’re excellent, especially for people like me who have loved classical music for decades, but know very little about the theory and how it’s constructed.

If you stay updated with Classical music through platforms like Grammaphone and its reviews of new releases, you’ll find that almost all of them are immediately available on Apple Music Classical.

The Guides have been there from the beginning but Apple keeps addng them.

I really like them.

Really? These kind of guides where they are synced to the music?

Yes, from the beginning of the Classical music app.

I wasn’t aware of that. Thank you for sharing!

I’m all nostalgic now, for Reasons, but long ago I worked for The Voyager Company where among other things we made CD-ROMs that synced music like Beethoven’s Ninth, Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring and Dvorak’s New Word Symphony to the score and added annotations like voice over discussions, essays, analysis, images, etc. to CD audio recordings.
