I recently found out that Apple has a special discount for Veterans/Active Military personnel.

although it looks like it is available for a limited time.
In addition to offering discounts on some Apple merchandise, they are also allowing the trade-in credit. Since I have an iPhone 6, I get $150 off of an iPhone XR 256GB (priced at $809, instead of $899). I don’t remember seeing Apple let you “stack” discounts in the past, but maybe I’ve missed that.
I believe 10% off is the same price Apple employees get, but if you don’t have connections to anyone at Apple, this discount may be of use to you.
It looks like it’s time to update my aging iPhone 6, finally.
