I’ve updated all of my my devices here, and will update the home server next week when I am back on that side of the continent

Thanks for sharing. As much as I find all the updates annoying, I still do them regularly.

The wording is strange:

Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been exploited in an extremely sophisticated attack against specific targeted individuals on versions of iOS before iOS 17.2.

Makes it sound like it is a problem with iOS 17.

According to the CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) “ This is a supplementary fix for an attack that was blocked in iOS 17.2.”

“WebKit is the web browser engine used by Safari, Mail, App Store, and many other apps on macOS, iOS, and Linux.”

If you have Apple Intelligence turned off be sure to check that after updating. For my phone it turned it back on without a chance to opt out.
