Apple Mail on Mac marking everything as junk?

Almost all email coming in to Apple Mail on two Macs with my iCloud account is being tagged as spam. Not moving it to the “Junk” folder though. New email will come in with images not downloaded. I click “Load remote content” and the message changes to “Mail thinks this is junk email.” This started 2 days ago, most of the email I am getting is coming in like this. iOS is not doing this. The same emails on iOS are normal.

Anyone else seeing this issue?

Since I “upgraded” to the current version of the latest OS - Sonoma? - a very high percentage of incoming emails are now being moved to Junk.

I have been resorting every couple of hours to checking through my Junk mailbox and trying to train by moving to the Inbox.

I am not convinced that is working.

Train by clicking on “Not Junk”. At least that works for me. Sadly 90+% of my incoming mail is junk.

Almost all of what goes into Junk is in fact junk. And I am happy not to be having to run through deleting them!

Not all have the “Not Junk” button, unfortunately. It may be that the new version of SpamSieve is also aggressive.

Thanks for the reply, but I am glad I am not alone. This has been driving me nuts, but I can’t find anything else on it. I have gone through settings, and short of turning off junk mail filtering, not sure what else to do. I figured I will wait for the Sonoma update we should be getting in early March and see if that fixes it. If that doesn’t fix it I guess I will try Apple Support.

Edit: This went away by itself after a couple of days and everything is working normal.
