Hello,
I have a question about Apple Messages. For almost all contacts I added image in Contacts. So I see this image in Apple Messages also.
But for companies (e.g. Airbnb or Amazon) I never see the contact image (because I do not know the phone number or contact details for adding to an existing contact). Is there a way to connect the sender of such s message with an existing contact?
Takk,
Claus
You can add the short code of the message to an existing contact. However some companies use multiple codes so you would need to add new ones as they are received.

Thank you @WayneG. This hint ould help!
Now I wonder how (where) do I find these codes?
I could not find such codes in Messages or any info on the www how to get these.
Thank you, Claus

It’s the number on the message. In this example 45572

Hmmm how do I get/see this number? Ai only see the companie’s name.
In the US it’s the default. If I don’t add it to a contact then a number is all I see. And Google AI thinks the process is the same in Iceland.
To add or ensure contact names appear in iPhone text messages (no matter where you are, including Iceland):
- Save the contact in your iPhone’s Contacts app: Ensure the person’s phone number is saved in your iPhone’s Contacts app with their name associated with it.
- iCloud Syncing: If you use iCloud, make sure that Contacts are enabled in your iCloud settings. This ensures your contacts are synced across your devices.
- Check for iMessage/SMS: If you’re messaging another iPhone user, your messages will likely be sent as iMessages (blue bubbles), which rely on data and are typically free if connected to Wi-Fi. If sending to a non-iPhone user, messages will be sent as SMS (green bubbles), which use your cellular plan and may incur roaming charges if you’re not on a local plan in Iceland.
