Apple Notes on Sonoma beta

Noticed when deleting a note in the Notes app. Used to be, it went to Recently Deleted and you have 30 days to reconsider.

today I’m getting a dialog on every note I delete “Are you sure? this will be deleted permanently. this cannot be undone.”

what the heck changed??? and why???

anyone else seeing???

I’m not using the beta so I can’t answer your question, but have you checked settings to see of you can change the default behavior?

I’m on the most recent version of Sonoma. It works as expected (puts a note that you want to delete into the “Recently Deleted” folder and keeps it there for 30 days).

However, if you select a note in the “Recently Deleted” folder, it asks you if you want to delete immediately.

I do see Recently Deleted folder with below sub-heading. I’m on latest public beta

Notes are available here for 30 days. After that time, notes will be permanently deleted. This may take up to 40 days.
