I don’t think anyone has talked about this, but could a move to Apple Silicon let Macs finally sleep and wake reliably? And instantly?
I’m picturing a Mac that sits in a sleep mode using almost as little energy as an iPad does when asleep, then springs to life with all its power as soon as you tap the space bar and log in (using face ID?).
That one feature could be enough to make me want to upgrade. And if the iMac screen was instant-on, that could swing me away from my usual Mac Mini route.
