Amazon has been doing this for a few weeks now, return window open until Jan 31st!

I’m curious as to what Apple does to the return machines? Do they sell it as new to another person or as refurbished?

I think they have to sell them as refurb. Once the box is open I don’t think they can legally be sold as “new”.
