Forgive me if I’m missing some very old news, but I just figured out this week that the click wheel gesture on the new remote is a default, system-wide gesture. Hard to explain via text, but basically just spin the wheel (like an OG iPod) anywhere and you’ll go through the currently selected list. You’ll kind of figure out when you have a column or row selected. On the home screen? Spin through the current row (or column, I forget, not on my couch right now). Have the onscreen keyboard selected? Spin horizontally through the alphabet. In any apps eternal list of content? Spin through it.
Just writing because I thought the spin gesture was only applicable to apps that used Apple’s media viewer API thing and could seek through content, but it seems to be able to be used anywhere.
