Well, you could implement a minimum reboot delay. 5 minutes or so? I mean…what’s a cobbled-together hack without some bizarre edge case code to glue it together?
And don’t think of it as “money for reboots”. Think of it as “prioritizing crucial infrastructure delivery at the point of need”.
If Akamai handles all of the web connections for a separate back-end server, then you’d see it being hosted by Akamai. It just means you can’t tell what the ultimate back-end server is in that case.
