Audio/Video capture from website?

I am attempting to capture a short video from Apple’s website and having issues. QuickTime and ScreenShot will record the video flawlessly but it doesn’t get the Audio. Choosing the built-in microphone gives me very poor audio content. I’ve tried using the BlackHole extension but it isn’t working as well.

This is a one time event I will be making a presentation for.

Any suggestions for a low cost/free solution???

I recently tried something similar using

But it did not work too well either. Audio was okay but the video image was cut off at the bottom.

Screenflow works best for this and I already have it. Can you send me the link to the video you want to capture? I will capture it and send it to you.

I use Downie to download videos and it lists apple.com as one of its supported sites. It has a 14 day free trial so it might be worth a look.

D’oh…

So apparently I found another video on how to setup BlackHole correctly on a Mac Mini. Audio settings need to be in a certain order. Few minutes later I was able to use ScreenShot to capture both Video & Audio. It looks and sounds fantastic! Used QuickTime to edit footage and I am good to go.

Thanks for the suggestions and offer to help me out.

Can you please share the link for that video?

(Might be useful for others)

Please share the link to that video. I coudln’t get either of QuickTime or OBS to work. BlackHole might be what I need.

Here is the link that explained how to screen record AND capture internal audio using the BlackHole extension with QuickTime or ScreenShot.

Pay attention on how the Audio setup matters and what order it is in!

I think if you’re on Safari a possible solution is to use Vinegar Extract but I haven’t tested it.
