I have a temporary folder I toss “might need” emails in, but after a period of time they cease to have value. So I’m envisioning a way to auto-delete email in this folder that is older than a given time period.
This really sounds simple, but I can’t figure out how to do it. Any ideas??

My first thought is to flag the message, snooze it for X days, and manually delete it when shows up again. Who is your email provider?
Or you could drag them from Apple Mail into a Reminder. I’m not big on auto deleting files.
Thanks for your approach, but I have too many of these emails to do that much ‘touching’, so am looking for something simpler.

Yes, this might do it, thanks!

MailMate can do this with time-based smart folders.

Just in case you’re at Fastmail, you can assign labels there that will delete emails after a specific time.
