Does anyone have an automation workflow to reduce the number clicks to download PDFs from a webpage. I like to download PDF versions of financial statements from my bank and brokerage accounts. There are some slight deltas between sites, but for the most part I have to open each statement click the download button click back to the statement page, and sometimes more. I seem to remember hearing that someone had used a tool (maybe BetterTouchTool or Keyboard Maestro) to automate mouse clicks via targets on the screen.
Keyboard Maestro can do this in a bunch of ways. Probably best to get the trial version and then have a go at it while searching and asking if necessary in the keyboard maestro forum for help.
There is a Firefox plugin called “DownThemAll” which I have used in the past to grab PDFs off a website, but that requires, I think, that the PDFs all be linked directly in the page. Could be worth a look.

Good idea, I probably should have looked there first.
Awesome, I’ll check it out.
