BackBlaze "Splash Screen" Help

I would like to get rid of the BB “splash screen” when I restart my Mac. Whenever I restart my Mac, I get the BB “splash screen,” which I have to minimize. Is there a way to eliminate this? I can’t find an option in preferences. Thanks!

I would say I remember in the “Login Items” section in macOS preferences you could select a “Hidden” check or something like that so that the app would not display a window, but it is missing in Sonoma (and from what I’ve searched it was removed in Ventura)

Edit: this macrumors thread suggests using this app to solve this specific problem, seems to be a one time purchase and it’s really inexpensive!

I noticed that and I’m not sure why it was removed. I used that feature a lot for my “Open at Login” apps. :frowning:

I’ll take a look at Autostarter, thanks!

I don’t think Autostarter needed.

There is no longer a way to hide windows upon app launch; is there an alterative?

well, got me. what a shock. I have not “upgraded” to Sonoma.

Yea, go ahead and buy more software, if you want.

So I’m not sure how to take that! It’s .99 but I’m not sure I’m comfortable adding a utility like that to my system. :slightly_smiling_face:

focus on other things, I would say.

I’d contact Backblaze and ask them. This splash screen should not be appearing like this.

I never see this so I did a little investigation. I don’t have Backblaze as a login item. So if you have it as a login item remove it! It is listed as an Allow in the background. It will run just fine as a pure background item.

My login items page:

I am still on Ventura on this Mac.

I think that did it, thanks! I thought I had to add BB to the Open at Login screen for it to run. Much appreciated!
