Bad Battery Widget

I have an odd problem. As you can see on the attached screenshot, the widget that I have on my iPhone shows the AirPods Pro case at a 17% charge. However, when I bring the case close to the phone and open it, my phone shows it at 90%. I’ve deleted it and reinstalled the widget to no effect. I have rebooted my phone again, to no effect.

The battery levels showing for the phone and the Apple Watch Ultra are accurate.

Any ideas?

Have you tried removing and re-pairing the AirPods?

No, I’ll give that a try. Thanks.

Unfortunately, that did not resolve the problem.

Mine are off, too; ~33% in the widget and 100% when opening the case. 26.1 and firmware 8B30.

That’s actually “good to hear.” At least I know the issue is not unique to me, it must be a bug in the OS.

It’s the fact it’s a widget. ALL my widgets show unreliable information, including many first party ones.

Everything else on the battery widget stays up to date; e.g. I just started using my Airpods and they already show as not charging.

Do you have an old set of AirPods hanging around that are still on your account?

My widget always seemed to pick up those AirPods, rather than the one I was primarily using.

That’s a possibility I’d not considered. My wife is using my old AirPod Pro 2s. I’ll look into this, thanks!
