If you’re on Tahoe menubar managers are unneeded in my opinion. For something so prone to being flaky (messing with the menubar) I’m quite happy to go with the less featured but more reliable system option. I’ve also found increasingly more apps have a toggle in their own settings to hide the menubar icon.

Isn’t the Tahoe system option only available to apps that support it?
(Not that many in my experience, unless I’m doing it wrong)
I think there are some new capabilities, but I’m mostly referring to the whitelist feature where apps can be banned or whitelisted. I think that works for all apps that try to put something up there.
