Best app for downloading a website?

So if there was a site which I wanted to mirror on my hard drive so I could navigate it offline, what are the best apps for doing that? It’s not for gigantic, complex sites, just sites with perhaps a few hundred fairly standard web pages.

I’ve used “Site Sucker” - I’ve not run into any problems with it.

Do you know if it will work for a Squarespace site?

It should. I’ve used SiteSucker to mirror a website that was relevant for my master’s dissertation as I wanted all documents offline (to throw the power of DEVONthink plus a few other tools at them). The website turned out to be ca.15 GB so it took me a few attempts to get the settings right. It was a WordPress site, but what SiteSucker does anyway is to download all files and make them usable offline, including rewriting all the links to point locally, if that’s desired. The CMS does not play a major role here as long as all relevant files (css files etc.) are properly grabbed from the site. The settings need a bit of tinkering for each website, though, especially concerning the depth of links you want followed etc.

The developer has some additional instructions on what settings to use for Squarespace sites here (though this seems to be for an older version):

Thanks, I’ll check it out!

“wget” does a great job downing web sites also.
