Best apple airpods, Expert recommendations to choose

I have researched the best apple airpods to find the perfect pair for daily use. After reading expert reviews from reputable sources like apple, macrumors, and business insider and two models consistently stand out as top recommendations:

Apple AirPods Pro 2

Apple AirPods 4

The airpods pro 2 offer active noise cancellation, a hearing aid feature, personalized spatial audio, usb-c charging, and the latest h2 chip. They seem like a great choice for immersive sound and quiet environments.

The airpods 4 come with the same h2 chip, personalized spatial audio and ubc-charging as well. They also have up to 30 hours of battery life and are sweat and water resistant which sounds great for workouts and casual daily use.

I am having trouble deciding which one would best suit my needs. I mostly use airpods for music, video calls, occasional workouts and commuting. Noise cancellation is a big plus but I also care about comfort and battery life.

So which one would you recommend, airpods pro 2 or airpods 4?Any advice or personal experience would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I prefer AirPods Pro. While AirPods tend to fit me better than other earbuds, I like the extra isolation provided by in ear monitor types. Having something in my ears does not bother me but does others so YMMV. Main use is listening to podcasts with the occasional phone/Zoom call. They have even worked in a pinch on calls in noisy datacenter environments.

I own a pair of 1st gen AirPods Pro, and a pair of AirPods4 without noise cancellation. I never use it on my Pros, only transparency mode. And prefer the AP 4s for driving and walking.

IMO, both are good for calls, audiobooks, and casual music listening. But the Pros do a better job with music. And if your workouts require more exertion than walking and driving a car you will need the Pro model. Or superglue :grinning:

AirPods Pro 2 in my opinion.

Better all the way around unless you don’t like “fitted” earbuds and prefer more of the hard plastic style. Some people’s ears just don’t work well with the softer eartips, but I would never go back myself.

The noise cancellation is pretty top notch — easily blocks out airplane noise when traveling or a super busy highway next to a sidewalk I walk on to get to work.

I love my Airpods Pro 2. The noise cancelling means that I can be in the gym, listening to a podcast, and simply not hear the pounding music: fantastic.

I had the AirPods Pro 1 until they had rattle issues. I now have the AP4 and absolutely love them. The active noise cancellation is fantastic for not having the silicone tips, but also are extremely comfortable because they don’t have the silicone tips. The Pros would cause some pain after wearing them for an extended period of time. And the transparency mode sometimes causes me to forget I have them on. They’re great for my use case.

I also love the personalized spatial audio, makes music and calls sound really immersive.
